Meet Mike
Husband, Father, Board Director, Corporate Advisor, CEO
I take immense pride in my family; raising two incredible kids alongside my wife has been a true blessing. We had a motto in our household, “Every age is a great age”, which holds true today as our kids step into adulthood with excitement and promise.
I’m passionate about lifelong learning and enjoy exploring unconventional paths. Whether it’s running, wine making, or woodworking (even if it’s just making planks!), I thrive on the joy of discovery.
Inspired by our Texan domicile, we’ve embarked on a new venture raising horses and cattle on a small ranch in the DFW area—an endeavor we never thought likely coming from bustling cities like DC and Philly. Additionally, my wife’s love for dogs fuels her passion for rescuing and finding loving homes for our furry companions.
Through these experiences, I’ve learned that staying “in continuous motion” is essential for finding one’s path forward.
A brief history of past profession experiences:
As the co-founder and former CEO of DealerBuilt, I played a pivotal role in reshaping the landscape of enterprise DMS. Navigating through formidable entry barriers, our team established DealerBuilt as a leading technology partner for dealers, witnessing significant growth and a successful recapitalization in 2019 with private-equity. Transitioning to a Board role in May 2023 allows me to focus on strategic oversight while exploring fresh avenues to make a meaningful impact on the industry.
Prior to my role at DealerBuilt, I served as the Chief Information Officer of a rapidly expanding consumer finance company where I assisted in laying the groundwork for nationwide growth. During my tenure gained valuable insights into executive leadership and sales execution.
My journey in the tech industry began with roles as a technical and strategic consultant for a DMS startup, which later saw acquisition by ADP in 1999. Continuing in this capacity until 2004, I contributed to the development of ADP’s desired next-generation platform.
In 1995, I founded a small consulting firm specializing in software development and management consultancy.
My professional path commenced at Price Waterhouse, where I was introduced to a variety of experiences and encountered interesting individuals who left a lasting impression on my career path.
